The second round of the Eastern German Regional took place in Leipzig on April 24-25, 2010. This large, beautiful 360m racetrack will host the German championship in September of this year.

It was like a small warm-up race. Most of the 45 drivers arrived on Saturday morning for free practice on the high-speed track because that afternoon should be the first qualifier of the race.
Rico Kröber took the overnight pole position ahead of Toni Gruber and Torsten Müller. Rico tested a lot of set-ups and different kind of gears on his Novarossi-powered XRAY NT1 2010.
Sunday qualifiers were faster and he managed his first pole position in his first race for Team XRAY. The Top 4 also included Frank Pudewell, Toni Gruber, and Jakub Rozycki.
There were four different brands of chassis in Top 4; it would be an exciting final.

Right from lap 1 Rico pushed very hard and he bettered his track record to 19.7sec in lap 3 and a lot of fast laptimes followed. At the end of the race he had a comfortable lead and won ahead of Toni Gruber and Jakub Rozycki.
